Rule # 8- Being Thankful

Being Thankful by Arsh

Rule # 8

Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do not enter the neighbourhood of despair. Even when all doors remain closed, God will open up a new path only for you. Be thankful! It is easy to be thankful when all is well. A Sufi is thankful not only for what he has been given but also for all that he has been denied.

-The Forty Rules of Love

Afraid of the sad endings… who isn’t? Well, even if one is damaged to an extent, if that person has a true faith, he will never cry over it but would want to be damaged more and more. If the pain gets me closer to my Allah, I want you to bring it on and on (: Thank you God for all that I’ve got- it tells me what I can lose with time. Thank you God for all that I’ve lost- it tells me that nothing in this world is eternal but You! ^_^

With each scar

that I get

I come closer

to satisfaction…

Hence, O insensible humans

Bring the pain

More and more

For I have now

Cleaned my heart

And made a home

For the One

Whom I knew

Since long…

-The good Lord!
