Rule # 21- Difference

Difference by Arsh

Rule # 21

We were all created in His image, and yet we were each created different and unique. No two people are alike. No two hearts beat to the same rhythm. If God had wanted everyone to be the same, He would have made it so. Therefore, disrespecting differences and imposing your thoughts on others is tantamount to disrespecting God’s holy scheme.

-The Forty Rules of Love

“Alike, art thou like me?” he asked. “No and neither can I be. For it’s the God Who hath created me and bestowed me with the face that none other hasth.” he replied. Indeed, it’s the fact that God has created each human being different and unique and with different rhythm in order to teach us that we should not disrespect the differences and in fact accept what we have been given as well as appreciate what others say.

And then one day

He created millions

and trillions

and gazillions

But there was a difference

between love and hatred

between night and day

between man and a woman

and even in those with the same blood

and yet there was acceptance

and  compliance

and love

that stayed inside

every human being.

The differences were never meant to kill ones mind

But being accepted as it was.

  1. Hi…i was wondering if you could tell me where the picture at the top of this post came from? I would be interested in using it for some flyer I am making for an event at a school, but wanted to make sure I got permission first. (cafarmer@gmail.com)
